Artist, producer, and visual creative Alewya just released new single, ‘Maktoub‘ inspired by the Arabic word for ‘destined’. Alewya’s sound draws from Ethiopian and Egyptian musical heritage, blending tradition with forward-thinking production that defies genre boundaries. ‘Maktoub’ moves fluidly between hard-hitting melodies and Alewya’s commanding, razor-sharp flows. The track is led by feeling rather than formula […]

Our favourite Noise-rock, EBM punks, MAQUINA. must be reading our minds because they just dropped a collab with Spain’s best kept secret, the Industrial duo, Dame Area. The track, ‘dança‘, is taken from MAQUINA.’s upcoming album Body Transmission and is a belter packed with scuzzy guitars, crunchy percussion and howls from Halison and Silvia. Song […]

‘You know I’d break my head open, just for you.’ Electroclash, punk duo Fake Dad just released their latest single, ‘Third Degree’ and it’s a banger. Giving Le Tigre and Tegan & Sara energy it shares that same bratty vocal delivery, with a clattering drum beat. Singer Andrea de Varona shared, “We really wanted to […]

Out today is Diabolic the Australian-produced indie film that combines two of our favourite things in cinema – the horror genre with queer-storytelling, specifically tales where the LGBT character is forced to live their life inauthentically and consequently wreaks their revenge on society with maximum chaos and carnage! Written, produced and directed by Daniel J. Phillips, […]

Earlier this year the French fashion maverick Charlie Le Mindu made his first foray into music giving us his alter ego Muchas Problemas and its debut EP. ‘The concept was always about intimacy and control, about how far you can go emotionally and physically without losing yourself.  Muchas Problemas is autobiographical in that sense,’ he […]

Self-produced and sonically unrestrained, COUCOU CHLOE recently dropped new one ‘Candyland‘. Dark and brooding but with playful energy the track is perfectly represented with the cover shot showing the visionary dressed in her best goth teddy bear ensemble. The track follows on from previous single ‘Venom’, another big one for us from the producer/vocalist. It […]

Haunting goth-rock classicist Anna Von Hausswolff has just announced new UK dates to her upcoming tour and also dropped a new video for ‘Struggle With The Beast’ from last year’s most excellent Iconoclasts. In support of last year’s album, Iconoclasts, Von Hausswolff will begin her UK & EU tour playing Barcelona’s Primavera Sound festival on […]

Trend alert! It would seem that for film studios in 2026 the genre of choice is killer animals –  a choice we will never tire of. This year will see the release of movies about killer hippos, alligators and of course sharks, many many sharks. Before all that is the new one from Director Jo-Anne […]
