In exactly two months, Primavera Sound, the greatest festival in the world according to us(!), will be entering its A La Ciutat phase with intimate, up, close and personal shows popping off across Barcelona. The absolute highlight this year is set to be the return of Brooklyn-based noise rock outfit Model/Actriz. Featuring frontman aka the most utterly divine Cole Haden, the group have a deserved reputation for being one of the most thrilling live bands out there today.

In lieu of them currently being out on the road on tour as we speak and headed for the UK this September, the band just released their Swan Songs EP. Three tracks written by the band and produced by main collaborator Seth Manchester, the EP shows the band’s quieter moments which are no less feral. Cole Haden says, “Swan Songs is a capsule of experiments made in the aftermath of the Pirouette sessions that by chance formed this moody vignette that we’re happy to share.”
