Paul Epworth’s solo debut – Voyager

One of our favourite topics to discuss with artists is musical recommendations and someone who has proven gold for this is Mashrou’ Leila’s Hamed Sinno. Last week, we were writing about Moses Sumney, whom last year Hamed told us was “the sexiest motherfucking musician in the world right now.”

Now here we are five days later writing about Paul Epworth, about whom Hamed asked us, “Do you know him? I want to work with him. I am shameless – I will do anything!” We’re still hoping this collab will come to fruition….

In the meantime, super-producer Paul is gearing up for the release of his debut solo album, Voyager. Having already produced for artists such as Adele, Florence + The Machine, Bloc Party, Jack Peñate and Jorja Smith, we’ve been a big fan for a long time, so we’re really excited to hear where he’s taking us next – and it looks like it’s the inter-galactic disco of love. *welp*

Voyager will contain fifteen tracks, which sees Paul team up with artists like Lianne La Havas, Kool Keith and Jay Electronica. To celebrate the release, Paul has also launched the company www.space-inc.co. He says, “Space Inc was almost the last piece in the puzzle of this album. It was originally called Odyssey after Kubrick’s masterpiece and I knew I wanted it to be the final track on the record. The lyrics are about transcendence. Leaving earth to change the course of human history or more of us leaving our reality to change the course of human consciousness. Both have genetic implications within our DNA. Thanks to Yuval Noah Harare, Stanley Kubrick, Quincy Jones, Funkadelic and Kaytranada for the inspiration.”

New single, ‘Space Inc.’ is out now while the album Voyager drops 11th September. Pre-order here.
