In a testament to Panic Shack’s ethos of always having a good time, they somehow manage to transform the slow collapse of modern civilisation into a highly charged, beefy-guitar punk track that’ll have you dancing through the end of days with your best mates.
The video accompanying the single — shot while the band were on tour in Germany — perfectly captures that same spirit of chaos and camaraderie, finding joy and release in the middle of exhaustion, uncertainty and endless motorway miles.
Produced by Ross Orton (producer behind records by Arctic Monkeys, Amyl & The Sniffers and Yard Act), ‘grin & bear it’ marks the band’s first new single since last year’s self-titled Panic Shack LP. It also arrives just ahead of a packed summer schedule that sees the band tearing across North America, Europe and the UK, kicking off in Washington on the 9th of June before wrapping up in New York on 26th of September.
