NEW: Olof Dreijer – ‘Loud Bloom’

Olof Dreijer, best known as one half of the incredible electronic duo The Knife, has announced his debut solo album Loud Bloom, arriving May 8 via DH2. The lead single, “Echoed Dafnino,” featuring Sudanese vocalist MaMan, sets the tone: fluid, radiant, and unmistakably sensual. Club music that shimmers as much as it hits. The video for the track is out now and can be watched below.

The Knife’s work set a blueprint for pop that felt as much like performance art as club music. Loud Bloom revisits that DNA but loosens it. Brighter, freer, and just a little more hedonistic. It also reconnects with a lineage Dreijer first explored in the late 2000s through his drag alias Oni Ayhun, where anonymity, performance, and club music blurred into something harder to pin down. Following a run of releases across Hessle Audio, Dekmantel, and AD93 since 2023, Dreijer has been quietly rebuilding momentum after years spent working across projects, including establishing a music school for refugees in Berlin and teaching production to immigrant youth in Sweden. Bringing in collaborators like South African MC Toya Delazy and Colombian percussionist Diva Cruz, the album stretches across scenes and languages without ever losing the beat.

Loud Bloom arrives May 8.
