Karol G has barely had time to let Tropicoqueta cool down before switching the mood entirely. Out now, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto is a noticeably more intimate, sultry and emotionally bruised record — less fiesta, more 3am staring-at-the-ceiling energy. Released on 7 August, it finds the Colombian superstar leaning into heartbreak, vulnerability and a slightly moodier, more experimental pop palette.

There’s an obvious temptation to read the album through her recent split from Feid, and, given what Karol G has said publicly about the breakup, it’s hard not to. But rather than functioning as straightforward breakup gossip, the record feels more interested in the messy interior life that follows: longing, resentment, nostalgia and the strange business of learning who you are again.

The opening stretch is especially strong, before the album shifts gears midway through and gets dreamier and more exploratory. That left turn is where some of its most exciting details emerge. Experimental pop producer Oklou contributes to Final Feliz, while one of our favourite new voices coming out of Spain, Judeline, brings both writing credits across the album and vocals to BbY WOW. She shares that track with rusowsky, the cult Spanish pop ‘weirdo’ who made one of Primavera Sound 2026’s more talked-about appearances — a combination that makes BbY WOW an immediate favourite.

After the maximalist joy of Tropicoqueta, this is Karol G in a softer, stranger and more open register. It’s still unmistakably Bichota, but now the lights are lower and the glitter is slightly smeared. With the album already set to become part of her Viajando por el Mundo Tropitour, including UK dates in 2027, it’ll be fascinating to see how this more inward-facing era translates back into the arena.
