NEW: Wasia Project announce new single and forthcoming album

Wasia Project, the musical sibling duo formed by Heartstopper’s Will Gao and sister Olivia Hardy, has just dropped a new single along with news of their forthcoming debut album, Nocturne.

The long-awaited album will be released on 18th September via Awal Recordings. Available to pre-order now, Nocturne was conceived at the tail-end of COVID and consequently looks at distance, isolation and fractured connections within a disillusioned generation. The pair tackle these dark, moodier themes and take them to the dancefloor to be exorcised – as witnessed on the album’s first single, ‘2515’.

Now we have ‘Bleeding Gold‘ the follow-up and a further sign of what to expect from Wasia Project’s debut. The track is ‘s a bittersweet paean to the transience of youth and the fleeting connections made and lost’ packed with soaring vocals from Olivia and shimmring guitar notes. They add, ‘Bleeding Gold is a song about nostalgia, returning to your roots, & understanding that though you can’t go back to your younger self, your past will always be part of you and travel with you as you go forth.’
