Scottish Producer and DJ sim0ne just released certified banger ‘lights down‘. Serving up a Handbag House hook, a bassline straight out of Y2k and a Hyper Pop finale blow out, the track is rooted in our favourite parts of London club culture.

‘While making ‘lights down’ I really enjoyed playing with the juxtaposition between understated vocals with colloquial lyrics and hard, almost abrasive, synthetic sounds. I wanted the track to feel like a moment of intimacy with someone in the middle of a pulsing crowd, on a dance floor at peak time. While still nodding to UK rave and hardcore the track sonically references 2000s juggernauts Zombie Nation while keeping both feet firmly in underground dance culture.’ – sim0ne
