Natural History Museum’s LGBTQ+ Virtual Tour

The longer Loverboy spends in its new adopted home of Barcelona the more we miss our favourite locations in London – case in point the iconic Natural History Museum. A childhood safe space we spent many happy afternoons in their with our Mum, running around the museum filling out their quiz sheets. Then later in life we found it was actually the perfect place to go on a first date, even if the potential partner was wrong, the location always came correct. <3

So we are loving this new LGBTQ+ Virtual Tour that London’s Natural History Museum is offering on YouTube free of charge – although donations to the Museum are of course welcomed! The tour allows you to choose your own route around the museum, or experience the standard tour – both accompanied by a commentary from the museum’s Josh Davis.

Throughout the tour you will discover queer notes about the world of Natural History from fish that can voluntarily change gender to pioneering scientists that named a new type or turtle after their partner’s peachy butt. The video is the perfect mix of science, LGBTQ+ history and all delivered to your door engagingly and for free!
