LAUREN AUDER ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM AND SINGLE ‘PRAXIS’

London-based composer, producer and singer, Lauren Auder, has announced her second album Whole World As Vigil, alongside new single ‘praxis’

On her latest single, Auder puts her personal philosophy, “that keeping yourself moving forward, is enough to live for” into musical practice. Anchored by a sample of a power drill cutting through metal to give the sense of perpetual motion the song sprints from the very start. ’Praxis’ surges and spirals with glorious explosions of movement during the choruses with Auder’s rich vocals delivering quiet revolutionary statements like, “Every time I step out of the house it’s praxis”. The song will get you off the sofa, running down the street while gleefully giving the middle finger to the void – think Nicole Kidman post-signing the divorce papers.

Whole World As Vigil, out on the 27th of March via untitled (recs), also features the single ‘yes’. Written and produced largely on laptops between Paris and London, the album is shaped by romantic intensity and heightened awareness — the feeling of being seen, watched, alive. The production is bigger, bolder, and more urgent, folding booming 808s into Auder’s signature baroque-pop.

Auder will mark the album’s release with a headline show at Chat’s Palace, London on 26th March, so get ready to dust off your ruffs and running shoes.
