Lucy Bedroque is entering their next era at full volume. Their new double A-side, ‘Speed Demon‘ / ‘Whitehorsemannequin‘, is the first taste of what’s to come, and subtlety ain’t it.

Maximalist, overloaded and completely committed, on ‘Speed Demon’ Bedroque races forward in a blur of blown-out electronics and hyperactive energy, while ‘Whitehorsemannequin’ pushes further into the strange, glossy chaos of their sound.

Having previously supported Jane Revolver and Ninjirachi, Bedroque has already been carving out a space somewhere between experimental pop, electronic excess and internet-age maximalism. This new era feels like a deliberate escalation on that.
