Waking up to Appleton‘s first single in twenty-three years was most definitely not on our bingo card for 2026 – but we definitely just got a…royal flush?!
‘Falling Into You‘ marks the return of Canadian sisters, Nicole and Natalie Appleton, aka one half of the legendary All Saints. Back in the early 2000s the pair hard-launched their own solo project with the album, Everything’s Eventual, featuring the #2 single ‘Fantasy’ and the ballad ‘Don’t Worry.’ New single, ‘Falling Into You’ picks up just where they left off, think big, catchy hook, gorgeous harmonies and experimental trip-hop vibes in the production.
Having taken merely the briefest of sabbaticals, the duo are back, having re-connected with writer Gareth Young and worked on new material with him. Nicole says: “We hadn’t worked with Gareth since we made our ‘Everything’s Eventual’ album, so we were amazed at how quickly everything clicked into place again. This song just flowed out of us because it’s very much the story of us.”
Appleton will perform on BBC Radio 2’s Piano Rooms on 19th February before playing with a full band at this year’s Mighty Hoopla festival.
