Anna Von Hausswolff announces album Iconoclasts & UK/EU tour

Oh, we have been waiting for our autumnal obsession and it looks like we have found it. Anna Von Hausswolff prepare to take all our money!

Swedish musician and composer Anna Von Hausswolff releases her sixth album, ICONOCLASTS, on 31st October aka Halloween. The date feels more than apt for an artist whose work has regularly been protested against by staunch Catholics, deeming her to be Satanic. But what’s a little lyric like ‘I made love with the devil’ between sisters?!

Iconoclasts is Von Hausswollf’s first album with YEAR0001 and it’s set to be a loud one full of powerful soundscapes, Anna’s wailing vocals and collabs with the two most perfect partners – Iggy Pop and Ethel Cain. An album of blistering, mounting tension and hard-fought, euphoric release. Addressing themes of love, freedom, and autonomy, its title, ICONOCLASTS, hints at a shattering and reimagining of the sacred personal symbols that bubble under the surface of contemporary life: commitment, time, dependency, and belief. The album was announced with a double single, the epic ‘Stardust’ and the haunting ‘The Whole Woman’ with Iggy Pop.

Von Hausswolff has just announced her UK/EU tour which arrives in the UK on 25th January in Bristol, continuing on to Manchester and London.
