He’s still one of the younger DJs on the scene but Guy Scheiman‘s already remixed some of the big names from Rihanna to J.Lo to Beyonce and nearly Mariah. We’re still holding out for that one….

What was the first remix you did, where you thought, ‘Holy shit. I can’t believe I’m remixing this person’?
My first big remix was for Ellie Goulding’s ‘Anything Can Happened.’ It reached #1 at the Billboard Dance Charts. [Ed’s note: Have a listen below.]

You’ve said you use music as escapism. What problems have you escaped through music? 
When I listen to music or create it, I drift into another world  – I’m not bothered with the daily basic living issues we all have like paying bills, politics, buying stuff either for your house or shopping for clothes. I’m in my own zone creating music and all my attention goes towards it.

You’re based in Tel Aviv. Do you think if you moved elsewhere it would further your success or are you adamant to stay where you are?
That’s always on my mind –  I’m sure if I had lived in another country, maybe the U.S., it would have been easier getting more work and establishing connections, but again it’s not very easy to pack up & live far away especially when your family and friends are here. Plus, visiting a place and living there is another ball game. It’s on my mind though and on the To Do list! I love to travel and explore the world. *smile*

What’s been the best event you’ve played yet?
The best event I’ve headlined so far was the Revolution party in Rio De Janeiro! #Amazing!! The energy in Brazil in off da hook!

What one artist do you want to officially remix the most?
There are soooo many but it would be a dream to be commissioned by her label for me to remix an exclusive record for Madonna. She’s the queen!

What Mariah song would you love to remix and why?
I did a remix her single  ‘You’re Mine’ but unfortunately it wasn’t accepted due to politics but I would totally remix any fresh amazing songs from her. I’m a fan!
